Que. What is DC generator? and write its principle.
Ans. DC generator - An electrical DC generator is a machine which convert mechanical energy in to electrical energy. The term DC generator denotes that it generates electrical energy but actually it does not it simply converts mechanical energy supplied to it into electrical energy.
Principle of Operation - The DC generator operates on the principle of the production of dynamically induced emf According to the laws of electromagnetic induction, which will cause a flow of current in the conductor if the circuits is closed.
